IdeaPad laptops with AMD or Intel hardware

Lenovo introduced two new laptops at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the IdeaPad Gaming 3 and the IdeaPad Gaming 3. A less expensive alternative to the specialist 'Legion' series, but no less appealing because, as you will see, it is a very strong update.

Lenovo provides the series in two screen sizes: a more traditional 15.6-inch model and a more current 16-inch model that manufacturers are adopting to enhance the display while keeping the size contained without needing to reach 17.3 inches.

Both mount excellent screens with IPS panels. The former has a native WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixel) resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 16:9 aspect ratio, and the larger has a higher WQHD+ (2560 x 1600 pixel) resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. 3:30 p.m.

Two screens, two configurations

Lenovo adds internal hardware to the compact versatility. And it is that the customer will be able to choose between AMD and Intel variants. They will be able to mount up to the Core i7-12700H Alder Lake platform for this, as well as AMD's previous generation, till reaching the Ryzen 6800H processors.

They will also be highly represented in the graphics department, with models such as the brand new Intel Arc or the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 3060. They will include up to 32 Gbytes of RAM (DDR4 in Intel workstations and DDR5 in AMD machines), and up to 1 Tbyte of internal storage with PCIe solid-state drives.

They have Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, Gigabit Ethernet and a lot of ports, Thunderbolt 4 in the case of Intel, USB-C 3.2, two USB-A 3.2, HDMI 2.0 output, and an FHD webcam. The sound portion has been improved with the 3D Nahimic Audio system, and an optional Lenovo gaming keyboard with 4-zone RGB backlighting may be attached.

In addition to the hardware update, Lenovo used the opportunity to conduct an internal design study, resulting in a quadruple ventilation system that enhances the size and efficiency by 20% over the previous range. According to the business, the new design improves airflow, provides quieter performance with fans spinning at lower speeds for less strenuous jobs, and ultimately provides better temperature regulation.

The new Lenovo laptops will be available soon in the following models and prices, with Windows 11 pre-installed and the two-color finishes shown in the images:
