Netflix has a huge thing going here, as Dave has an impressive fan base. Also, everyone who has been following the stand-up scene knows the names we mentioned here. Of course, we cant wait to see what they cooked up for this one.

Chappelle is also the topic of a lot of controversies, he always has been.

Netflix has come under fire for “The Closer” series on their platform, in which comedian Dave Chappelle cracks jokes about transgender people. Read the full article here.

recently he has been criticised in the media and among his fans because of the discussion about the transgender movement. Some segments of his last Netflix special  October’s The Closer were marked as transphobic.

At the time Netflix did defend the show, but also they stated it is the last special in Chappelle's series of six shows. It seems that the streamer calculated that the risk of new controversy is smaller than the risk of losing Dave’s fans.

Dave will also be a headliner at the Hollywood Bowl. The Los Angeles-based comedy festival Netflix is a Joke is set to start on April 28.
