Downton Abbey: A New Era is coming out!

The long-awaited return of the global phenomenon reunites the beloved cast.

After 6 seasons of one of the most beloved and most awarded series and the first film that delighted the audience in 2019, the romantic drama "Downton Abbey - New Era" is coming to our cinemas on May 20.

We have been waiting for three years for the continuation of the story about the Crawley family and life on their property. The challenges they face, as well as life itself in a time that takes on the characteristics of modern and contemporary society, are gaining new dimensions in this film.

Luxurious costumes and beautiful scenography visually evoke the era in which the film's plot is set. The unique cast, as well as the award-winning authors, will evoke life in the time that is behind us, and with their British English humor and the right dose of intrigue, it will exceed the expectations of fans of "Downton Abbey".

The long-awaited cinematic return of the global phenomenon reunites a beloved cast that embarks on a grand trip to the south of France to unravel the mystery of Lady Grantham’s newly inherited widow’s villa.

In addition to more than 15 actors from the original cast, including Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern, and Michelle Dockery, as well as Jim Carter and Brendan Coyle, we will see new characters played by Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, Dominic West, and Jonathan Zaccai.

The first part of "Downton Abbey" earned an impressive 194.3 million dollars.

Although the new film was originally scheduled to hit theaters in late December last year, "Downton Abbey: A New Era" will premiere on May 20. We can’t wait to see what this amazing team has prepared for us this time! Just a couple of days more until we find out! You can see the trailer in the video below:
