Ed Sheeran and Elton John made a charity Christmas video!

Hitmakers Ed and Elton will premiere their new music video for the song 'Merry Christmas' on Friday, which is humanitarian, so the proceeds will be used to help those in need.

Elton John (74) and Ed Sheeran (30) talked about the Christmas song a year ago, and it will premiere on Friday. Ed shared snippets from the video on his Instagram, which shows the costumes and the Christmas atmosphere.

- Last year my friend Elton John called me and suggested that we record a Christmas song together to which I replied 'maybe 2022.' - Ed was filmed explaining on the posters how the song came about and continued:

- Although I said that, the chorus of the song was finished the same day, and here we are now, the song comes out on Friday and there are a lot of bells in it - he wrote, showing the posters to Elton.

In a description of the video, he explained that all proceeds from the Christmas period will be donated to their charities and associations, the ‘Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation’ and the ‘Elton John AIDS Foundation’.

- They just had a great time filming, and the video comes out on Friday.

The video alternates between Ed and Elton in different Christmas fashion combinations, and it seems that Sheeran also wore a dress at one point. They used red-green combinations the most, and there were also sequins, bells, and various Christmas accessories.

As inspiration for the video, they used a romantic film from 2003, ‘Love Actually’, in which the main character also exchanges posters with messages.

- You are fantastic, I can't wait - wrote one of the fans, and the videos together collected more than 4 million views in one day.
