Emilia Clarke on shooting intimate scenes with Jason Momoa: He cried more than I did
THE STAR OF GAME OF THRONES Emilia Clarke has spoken up about filming personal sequences on the show's set.
Clarke portrayed Daenerys Targaryen in 62 episodes of the show, and the role gave her popularity as well as some difficulties. After attending acting school, the actress joined the series at the age of 23, and at such a young age, she was given the huge challenge of playing one of the most recognized roles in the entire series.
She said that the sex scenes worried her because she didn't know what to do. She'd never been on a huge movie set before, and the requirement to strip naked in front of the entire staff and audience was very tough for her.
"I've never been on a film set like this before, and then I found myself on a film set completely naked, surrounded by all these people, and I didn't know what I was supposed to do, what was expected of me. I didn't know what they wanted, and nor what I want," Clarke said, admitting that she didn't know there would be nudity before she accepted the role.
She also highlighted actor Jason Momoa, with whom she appeared in a graphic scene in which Khal Drogo raped Daenerys Targaryen. She noted how compassionate and professional the actor was to her as a young, inexperienced actress, and how much his protection benefited her during filming.
"He cried more than I did. It's only now that I realize how lucky I was with that because it could have gone so many, many, many different ways," she said, revealing that Jason Momoa was very kind and considerate and took care of her.

Sharon Stone on Michael Douglas: I didn't feel comfortable around him
SHARON STONE has stated that she never felt at ease with co-star Michael Douglas when filming Raw Passions, but she believes that this is part of what made the picture so brilliant.
You've definitely watched the movie by now, and even if you haven't, you've probably seen the moment when Sharon Stone's character is being grilled by police.
Following the murder of a wealthy rock musician with an ice pick, the top suspect is his lover Catherine (Sharon Stone), a crime novelist who has written a book with a disturbingly similar narrative to the murder.
Detective Nick Curran (Michael Douglas) investigates the murder, and he soon discovers that the character in Catherine's new book is a police detective who is slain after falling in love with the wrong lady.
The real climax of the picture is the tension that develops between Stone and Douglas as their characters pursue each other, and the actress believes that part of the reason it worked so well on screen was that she "never felt comfortable" around Douglas.
Stone stated in an interview shortly after the film's release that she purposefully avoided getting close to Douglas in order for any off-camera animosity between them to spill over into their acting.
"I really felt that there was a strange, dynamic energy between us. I was never comfortable around him, and I don't think he was comfortable around me either. That was the most important thing for me. I watched his movements, provoked him and it worked," the actress said.
