Facts & Figures about the Burj Khalifa!

It is three times taller than the Eiffel Tower and twice as tall as the Empire State Building in New York.

Dubai is without a doubt a completely fascinating city that has a passion for setting and breaking world records. It is said that his miraculous buildings currently hold more than 220 world records.

Burj Khalifa is home to about 900 residences ranging from studios to one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom apartments. Living here means living at the most prestigious address in Dubai, which undoubtedly comes with its facilities such as a health and wellness club that includes a state-of-the-art gym, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and a luxury spa.

And besides being the tallest building in the world, this skyscraper holds various records. The skyscraper was officially opened in 2010, and with its height of 829.84 m, it took over the title of the tallest building in the world from the Chinese skyscraper Taipei 101.

The Burj Khalifa consists of 163 floors and is surrounded by 11 hectares of parkland. It has 57 elevators, some of which are specially designed because they must serve as an adequate exit in case of fire and similar dangers.

You wouldn’t want to climb to such heights using stairs, would you? Fortunately, the Burj Khalifa also has the highest elevator in the world, which climbs 504 meters and travels at a speed of 60 km per hour.

In order for the skyscraper to remain impressive, it is necessary to clean it and "polish" it from time to time. It takes three months and 36 workers to remove the desert sand deposits from all the windows, so as soon as you finish all the windows, it's time to start all over again.

The Burj Khalifa is visited by millions of tourists a year, and it is very crowded, so it is advisable to book tickets in advance. It is possible to buy them on the spot, but then they are twice as expensive. Also, the price of the ticket depends on how far you want to climb.

Platforms on 124, 125 and 148 floors are open to tourists. It is also possible to visit the observatory which is also located in Burj Khalifa. Although you don't go all the way, the view from this part of the Burj Khalifa is also impressive. Ticket prices range from 40 dollars and up, while entry for children under four is free.

And when you decide to climb to the top of this architectural marvel, don't forget your jacket. At the highest point of the Burj Khalifa, the temperature is almost 15 ° C lower than on the ground floor.
