Full trailer for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is released!

Last night, Sony Pictures Animation released the full trailer for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", the highly anticipated sequel to the animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (Spider-Man: New World). The new trailer focuses on a conversation between Miles (Shameik Moore) and his mother Rio Morales (Luna Lauren Vélez). Through the conversation, Rio wants to make sure her "little boy" is cared for, loved, and he feels like he fits in, so he can go out into the world and do "great things." Rio also demands that Miles promise her that wherever he goes, he will take care of that “little boy”. All of this is interspersed with key scenes from the first film, as well as new footage from the sequel.

The producers of this sequel are Joaquim Dos Santos (Voltron: Legendary Defender), Kemp Powers (One Night in Miami) and Justin K. Thompson (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs), and the script is signed by David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie).

Miles' story and the Spider-Verse web expands. Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) returns in the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport friendly Spider-Man from Brooklyn through the multiverse, to join forces with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld). He will join a new team of Spider-Mans in order to face a villain more powerful than anything they've encountered before. But when the heroes clash over how to deal with a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and he must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The new voice cast includes Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk, Jorma Taccone as Vulture and Jason Schwartzman as Spot — the infamous supervillain with the ability to open portals between universes.

"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse"  arrives in theaters on June 2, 2023.
