Great small living room ideas
If your living room is small, use simple tricks when decorating this room and you will notice how the same space can seem more comfortable and spacious.
When furnishing a small living room, you have to keep in mind that you can't fit everything you like in it - most living rooms have a sofa and armchairs, a coffee table, a chest of drawers, a television, and possibly stools, and when you start adding photos, various decorative objects, lamps, wallpaper, patterns, and colors, your room starts to seem smaller and smaller. In order to decorate the room in the best way, choose suitable furniture and create the illusion of a larger space, and here's how:
1. Choose a two-seater
If you live alone or with a partner, instead of a three-seater or sofa, choose a two-seater that is quite sufficient to meet your needs. In addition to a comfortable sofa and a small table, complete the seating area with a smaller armchair.
2. Stick to a light palette
The classic, but always effective white color is a proven solution for small rooms. Most often, the walls are painted white or beige, however, even if the wall is accented like this one made of exposed brick, if you choose a light shade for the furniture and carpet, the room will again appear fresher, more open, and brighter.

3. Choose furniture with exposed legs
Furniture that rests on legs visually "opens" the space and makes it airy. Leave the space under the sofa or armchair free, or use it to store things as needed. When you need extra storage space for extra items or blankets, this space will be valuable - place a decorative basket or box, and the problem is solved.
4. Place high shelves
Use the empty corners of the room and install narrow shelves that rise almost to the ceiling. In addition to providing you with additional storage space, open shelves also serve as decor, while their height will create the illusion of higher space.
5. Minimalism
Think about whether you really need everything you have in the room. The living room does not have to have a bunch of drawers. Not even a sofa. If you mainly use the living room for reading or working, choose more functional furniture, such as comfortable armchairs and a suitable table.
6. Glass club table
A small table with a transparent panel will make the central part of the room appear larger and more relaxed. For a modern look, add books, magazines, or some decorative item to the bottom of the table.
