Halsey: 'I'm looking for causes..'
Singer Halsey gave birth to her first child last year, and since then things have gone downhill and the singer is struggling with constant health problems.
Last July, 27-year-old singer Halsey gave birth to son Ender Ridley Aydin, and just when everything seemed to be going well, the singer’s health became worse. In her Instagram stories, the newlywed mom told fans what she went through, sharing that she spent weeks in and out of the hospital.
'Obviously, my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth,' she said.'I got very, very, very, very sick ... I was hospitalized several times for anaphylaxis, and some other things happened to me,' Halsey began.
Nine months after having her first child with boyfriend Alev Aydin, Halsey was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). These serious illnesses greatly affected Halsey’s lifestyle, and she spent a lot of time in hospitals since then.' I've been looking for answers to the root cause of some of these things that could be an autoimmune disease.' she added.
A few days before coming to the 2022 Grammy Awards, Halsey underwent surgery. Prior to the awards ceremony, the singer shared her photos at the hospital.
'The last time I was at the Grammy Awards was in 2017 and it was 3 days after I had my first endometriosis surgery. I walked the carpet with stitches. Luckily, I'm coming tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago. I am publishing this just to tell you if you see me be gentle, I am fragile. Fragile but excited,' she wrote in a description of the photo.
However, Halsey's illness did not stop her from continuing to prepare for her "Love and Power" tour.
'I don't want anyone to worry. I'm on the treatment plan right now. I'm really excited and I'm confident that I will be able to do it in a healthy way and that I will perform for all of you,' she said.
Recall, that Halsey last year after a short relationship had a child with Alev Aydin, and before him, the singer was a year in a relationship with rapper G-Eazy who eventually cheated on her. After the break, the singer described her ex's behavior as "offensive", and in one of her songs "Lighthouse", she sings about her ex who is sticking his nose in cocaine. This verse is dedicated to G-Eazy, who in 2018 was accused of cocaine possession.
