Hannspree HG270PCH: Budget gaming monitor
Hannspree unveiled four monitors at the end of 2021, with the major features being specific gaming functionalities, high response times, and super-fast image refresh rates. This was the smallest of the four screens displayed (27 inches), but it was the only one with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz and a reaction rate of 1 millisecond.
The curved screen is the first thing that draws your attention to this monitor. It boasts a radius of curvature of 1,800R, which ensures immersion by allowing you to enjoy a broader field of vision and less distortion at the screen's boundaries. The dots on the screen all look great.
In order to provide the maximum possible refresh rate, the panel has a diagonal of 27 inches and Full HD resolution, which is characteristic of gaming monitors. It is, in our opinion, a minimal size for a curved screen, because the impressions would be considerably different if it were smaller.
Because it is not a particularly huge screen, it is liked that it does not give the impression of being too heavy on the table, therefore it is a success for medium or compact desktops.
However, the biggest advantage of this display is its 240Hz refresh rate. You may experience stutter-free, fluid, and lag-free games with this refresh rate. Furthermore, the 1ms MPRT reaction time ensures that fast-paced gameplay or moving images remain sharp at all times.
The screen's framing is another eye-catching element. The side and top bezels are extremely small, with only the bottom one standing out. The screen's design is subtle and elegant, as is the base, which is in tripod shape and constructed of metal and connects with a standard screw system.
Because the screen can only be adjusted vertically and cannot be elevated, lowered, or rotated, determining the ideal ergonomics for this screen is an intriguing problem. The back cover is constructed of ABS plastic, which is extensively used in the automotive industry and is highly impact resistant.
It features five connection points, which are at the bottom of the screen. It is appreciated that there is a drawing on the back cover that illustrates where each one is located. These are as follows: a power cable input, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.2 port, and a 3.5 mm Jack headphone output. In addition, it includes two 2W speakers.
The monitor also has a 16:9 aspect ratio, TFT technology with LED illumination, 350cd/m2 brightness, and 3,000:1 and 10,000,000:1 active contrasts. It also offers the customary frills of this brand, such as Flicker-Free technology, Low Blue Light mode, and Picture in Picture modes.
