WhatsApp tests the transfer of conversation history
WhatsApp brings the ability to copy conversations and contacts from Android to iOS and vice versa, it is good to know that there is this option.
As late as last year, WhatsApp tested and released a feature that will benefit those moving from the iOS platform to Android.
To get the news today that WhatsApp is now testing a similar feature or transferring conversations from Android to iOS.
This feature will be available and is currently available only for Android 12, and we can only hope that in time it will be available on Android 11.
What we want to say with this text is that WhatsApp within testing provides the ability to transfer conversations and all contacts from Android to iOS.
For now, the transfer is only possible with Apple's " Move to iOS " application, which will soon have a collection feature and WhatsApp features and chat.
For the purposes of beta testing itself, some of the conditions need to be met. First of all, it is necessary to have at least Android 5.0 (Lollipop) as well as the WhatsApp version of the application with the numerical designation 2.22.7.74 when we talk about the Android platform.
While for iOS WhatsApp must at least meet the numerical designation 2.22.10.70 and it is necessary to have iOS 15.5. Unfortunately, testing this WhatsApp feature will not be possible on older iOS versions.
On the other hand, the process of transferring WhatsApp conversations and contacts from Android to iOS is very easy. Both smartphones (Android and iOS) need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and both devices need to be connected to a charger.
After that, you just need to wait (of course by pressing the "start" button) for the whole process to end. We know and are aware that neither you nor you will use this feature frequently, but it is still good to know that it is "there" and that it is present "if God forbid" it will be needed sometimes, isn't it?
What we have to mention is that this transfer is valid only when the same phone number is used and it is possible to set it only at the beginning, ie during the first setup of the iOS iPhone smartphone.
Similar rules apply to the way when switching from iOS to the Android platform. When the data is transferred to WhatsApp on Android, it will remain visible.
They will not be automatically deleted (removed) but will require manual deletion to remove them. Please note that before starting the transfer, you need to read some more details on the WhatsApp official website, so that the transfer itself went without any problems.
Because if something goes wrong later, unfortunately, there is no going back.
