How did Jennifer Lopez become famous?
Jennifer Lopez is one of the icons of world show business, and although her life currently looks fabulous, it has not always been so.
Latino diva Jennifer Lopez is one of the most successful women in the world. Aside from finding it hard to determine if she’s doing better at dancing, singing or acting, the 52-year -old woman looks like she’s just in her thirties.
Now she graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and she remembered her beginnings and the path that led her to the life she lives today. So she returned to audition for the first film in which she appeared, ‘My Family’ from 1995, as well as her first contact with the legendary Barbara Streisand at a party the night before the Oscars.
And she also spoke about her relationship with her mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez, who has been an incredible support throughout her life.
‘My mom introduced me to different types of music. Today I am who I am because of her. But I am also able to survive all that this job brings because my mother was such a woman. I don't think she was aware of what she was preparing me for then, but she prepared me, ' said Lopez.
Regardless of the planetary success she enjoys today, Lopez added that growing up the way she did, in a small home in the Bronx without previous knowledge of business, still left her with a sense of inferiority. She always felt like she wasn't the one who was supposed to be in the room. This is partly because she is a Puerto Rican living in the Bronx and a woman at the same time. Do you know what I mean? That means she was not born into a wealthy family. Also, she didn't know anyone in the industry. Jenny just went out and said she wants to try.
‘My first job was at a beauty salon where I cleaned. I just wanted my ten dollars so I could do what I wanted with them, ' the diva once said. At one point she decided to leave her city. She lived off small dance engagements from which she received $ 25, $ 50, and ate pizza and noodles. However, it didn't take long for important people in the industry to see what kind of diamond had entered their rooms. Today, J.Lo is a kind of icon, and one of the incentives for everyone to make their dreams come true.
