It's Denzel Washington's birthday!

Denzel Washington is celebrating his 67th birthday and has been married to Paulette since 1984.

One of America's most famous and recognized actors, Denzel Washington, was born on December 28, 1954 in Mount Vernon, New York.

His father, Dillwyn Denzel Washington, was a priest and his mother Lennis owned a hair salon, so Denzel, along with his older sister Lorice and younger brother David, only saw them for a few hours a day.

His parents divorced when he was 14, and he became rebellious. He realized it could lead him on a path to ruin, so he turned to the American Boys and Girls Clubs Association. He often points out that he owes people in this association everything in life .

At first, he didn't know what to do with his life. For a while, he wanted a doctor, a lawyer and even a journalist, only to eventually decide that what he really wanted to do was act.
