Jerry Seinfeld stole his wife from another!

The richest comedian took his wife from another man, and his love life had caused controversy before

Jerry Seinfeld married his present-day wife Jessica on Christmas Day 1999, and they had met a year earlier while she was still married to another.
Famous comedian Jerry Seinfeld, 64, and his wife Jessica, 50, have been in a harmonious marriage for 22 years and have three children together.
But their love story didn't start as idyllic as everyone might think. Namely, the famous Jerry took Jessica from another man. The couple met in 1998 at a gym in New York, just two months after she married Eric Nederlande. When he saw her, he felt something he never felt before that moment and he couldn’t contain himself and went up to her. It was Jerry who approached Jessica and allegedly immediately swept her off her feet with a joke he told. There are many speculations about whether she knew who he was at the time, given that it that same year that the finale of his mega-popular series "Seinfeld" aired.  Of course, as it happens, Jerry decided to take his chances and asked her out on date. And can you guess what happened? Well she said yes, of course, and the rest is history.

Given that it was love at first sight, the passions were high. Only later did Jessica agreed to discuss her first marriage and claimed that no one could help them since it was certainly doomed, and she was considering divorcing her first husband even before she met Jerry.

A year after the fateful gym meeting, the couple got engaged and married on Christmas Day 1999 in a private ceremony. A year later, they had their first child, a daughter, Sasha, then their son Julian Kal, was born in 2003, and in 2005 they had another son, Shepherd Kellen.

Jerry and Jessica still live in New York with their children, but they are very private and rarely reveal anything about their personal lives.

Interestingly, Jerry had been in a relationship for four years before his current wife with Shoshanna Lonstein, who was only 17 at the time they met, and he was 39. He was called out in the media for his controversial relationship, but he disregarded everything people were saying.

Jerry, meanwhile, is the richest comedian in the world according to 2021 data and his fortune is estimated at $950 million.

He is best known for playing a semi-fictionalized version of himself in the sitcom Seinfeld, which he created and wrote with Larry David. The show aired on NBC from 1989 until 1998, becoming one of the most acclaimed and popular American sitcoms of all time. As a stand-up comedian, Seinfeld specializes in observational comedy. In 2004, Comedy Central named him as the 12th-greatest stand-up comedian of all time.

Seinfeld produced, co-wrote, and starred in the 2007 film Bee Movie, which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Seinfeld has received twenty Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on Seinfeld and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee as well as four Grammy Award nominations for his comedy albums.
