Jake Gyllenhaal recounted a funny situation when he met Oscar winner Brad Pitt in 2002. They met during the filming of The Good Girl in which Gyllenhaal then starred with Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
Gyllenhaal told everything in an interview for W magazine and added that he did not do well in the meeting, but in the end, everything turned out nice.
"I remember wanting to shake his hand, and instead I slammed the door with my hand. He said to me, so calmly and gladly, 'Well, look, you have another hand, everything will be fine.' He was very polite and everything turned out nice. But yes, I was shocked to meet him, " the actor said.
In addition to being nervous about meeting Brad Pitt, Gyllenhaal also had some sympathies with Jennifer Aniston at the time. He talked about it last October on The Howard Stern Show. He then admitted that he liked Jennifer during the filming of The Good Girl. He added that filming love scenes with the actress were not easy for him at the time.
"Yes, I liked her and it was torture to work with her. Not literal torture, but some combination. Shooting love scenes is always embarrassing," he said in an interview at the time.
Recall, Jake Gyllenhaal described the filming of sex scenes with Jennifer Aniston in the movie “The Good Girl” as “torture” while on The Howard Stern Show. He explained the difficulties actors face in trying to make sex scenes as realistic as possible.
Gyllenhaal and Aniston played lovers in the aforementioned film, and the actor revealed in several earlier conversations that he had a crush on the “Friends” star.
“Weirdly, love scenes are awkward, because there are maybe 30, 50 people watching it? That doesn’t turn me on,” he added on the show.
He described the process of filming sex scenes as “mechanical“.
“It’s a dance, you’re choreographing for a camera. You can get in it, but it’s like a fight scene, you have to choreograph those scenes,” he continued.
Gyllenhaal revealed that he filmed sex scenes with Aniston using “the pillow technique”.
“That was just pre-emptive and used generally always when both of you are actually in a horizontal position in the movie. I think that was actually Jennifer’s suggestion. She was very kind to suggest it before we began. She was like, ‘I’m putting a pillow here,’” the famous actor recalled.
The actor was in a short relationship with Taylor Swift (31) back in 2010. They were introduced by actress Gwyneth Paltrow at a party she and her husband organized at her home in London.
Allegedly, Jake once spent as much as 165 thousand dollars on a private jet by which Swift flew to London. The actor then promoted his film ‘Love and Other Drugs’ there and they spent 24 hours together before Taylor returned to the US.
“Jake wanted some quality time with Taylor. If he hadn’t done this, they would have missed each other as he had to fly back to the States. He hired a jet which would easily have set him back $165,000,” a close source told the British media at the time.
Shortly afterward, the couple spent the winter holidays separately and rumors began to circulate about their breakup. In January, a source confirmed to People magazine that Taylor and Jake were no longer a couple.
