Anyone who adores the character and work of Jason Statham will most likely admit that it is hard to imagine him as a calm, romantic and gentle family man, but the action star in real life is quite the opposite of the characters he most often plays. In fact, it is quite the opposite of the former version of himself, that is, the man he was until he met the love of his life.
Jason and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have been together since 2009 when they first met, and not even 20 years of age difference has stood in the way of their happiness, despite the fact that few have believed in this love story since her very beginnings. Not only because of the age difference but also because his life before her looked completely different. Unlike his wife who became planetarily popular at a very young age (she started her modeling career at the age of 16), Jason started acting only after he was in his thirties.
By then, life had taught him honestly what hard work meant and how hard it was to make money. Among other things, he worked as a bouncer in London clubs, but also as a (re) seller of goods in the markets. Perhaps that is, at least in part, the reason why he played so well his first film role in Guy Ritchie's 'Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels', which he received when he was 31 years old. Once he gained world fame, he was an unavoidable target on the radar of many beauties. It was never a problem for him to win one of them, but it was quite difficult for him to keep in touch. He was in a relationship with Alex Zosman for a while, and after the relationship with her came to an end, he met Kelly Brook with whom he had been for seven years. In numerous interviews, Rosie admitted that she was attracted to Jason's incredible sense of humor, and not the image of the macho guy he plays in movies. "When a person knows how to make you laugh at the right time, your whole world changes," she admitted, adding that it is very important to her that she can always count on Jason's support.
In January 2016, the paparazzi spotted a diamond engagement ring on Rosie’s finger. That ring, which Jason paid $ 350,000 for, went shopping several times, until the real one he bought finally appeared. Shortly afterward, the couple confirmed that they were engaged, but did not comment on the wedding questions in any way. In the fall of the same year, Rosie appeared on the red carpet with a belly, and in June 2017, their son - Jack Oscar Statham - was born.
It is inspiring to many today how the two of them, both very famous people who are always under the magnifying glass of the public, manage to keep the privacy of their relationship without giving a reason to gossip. And the duration of their fairytale romance speaks for itself.
