Kamila Valieva performed the famous Wednesday dance

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva took advantage of the TikTok trend for her competition dance. The 16-year-old began her routine at the 2023 Russian Figure Skating Championships with a popular song from the Netflix series "Wednesday".

Dressed in an all-black fashion combination, with distinctive braids and black lipstick, Valieva looked remarkably like the main actress from the series "Wednesday", Jenna Ortega. Her routine featured famous songs from the series such as the opening theme song and The Cramps' Goo Goo Munk.

In the middle of the routine, an alternative version of Bloody Mary sung by Lady Gaga started playing, when Valieva started with the famous TikTok dance. That song became synonymous for "Wednesday" as it went viral on TikTok with a dance from the show.

Valieva received great applause from the audience for her dance, however, she did not win the gold medal, but second place in the women's category of the Russian Championship. A video of her performance was posted on YouTube, where it has more than 2.3 million views.

Positive for doping

By the way, this Russian woman competed at the Winter Olympics last year, where she tested positive for doping. The banned drug Trimetazidine was then found in her blood. It is taken to treat heart problems.

The mentioned medication also increases endurance and improves blood flow. Her argument was that this contamination occurred through mixing with the product her grandfather was taking.

Recall, Burton's new series "Wednesday", about the charming daughter of the Addams family, arrived on Netflix on November 23. Already at that time, the series was well-received by critics, and now it even broke the Netflix viewership record!

According to Netflix, the "Wednesday"  series is the new record holder for the number of hours watched in a single week for an English-language TV series on Netflix. For example, season 4 of "Stranger Things" previously held the record with 335.01 million hours during the week of May 30 to June 5.
