Miley Cyrus surprised her fans with the release date of her new song.
Miley Cyrus is releasing her first solo single in the last two years, interestingly, on her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth's birthday, and her fans think it's definitely not a coincidence.
During NBC's New Year's Eve special over the weekend, the 30-year-old pop star announced that she will begin her next era with the release of her new single "Flowers" on 'Friday the Thirteenth', or January 13th. It didn't take long for some fans to understand why the date was significant. Namely, Hemsworth, who was married to Cyrus from 2018 to 2020, was born exactly 33 years ago on that date.
" Miley releases her new music on the same day as Liam Hemsworth's birthday, January 13. Karma sucks " tweeted one delighted fan. What also intrigued fans were the lyrics from "Flowers," which Cyrus had already shared via a "teaser" video on her YouTube channel. "I can love me better than you can", she sings in one of the videos, and the sound is played over a clip where she struts through a sprinkler in the yard dressed in a black bikini.

The popular singer first started dating Hemsworth in 2009 while the two were starring in "The Last Song" together. They were together for several years and even got engaged in 2012 before later splitting. The couple saw each other again until 2016, and at the end of 2018, they got married.
Eight months later, Cyrus and the "Hunger Games" actor parted ways once and for all. Hemsworth released a statement wishing his ex "health and happiness," and Cyrus tweeted shortly after their divorce was finalized in 2020 that she "loves Liam and always will." Two years later, on stage at the Lollapalooza festival in Brazil, she said that her marriage to him was "a big disaster." We can not wait for a new song!
