Kate Middleton surprised many with her statement about little Lilibet Diana
She talked about her little niece Lili.
British Duchess of Cambridge Kate said Friday that she can’t wait to meet her new niece Lilibet, the daughter of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.
"I wish her all the best, I can't wait to meet her, which I hope will be soon," Kate told reporters during a visit to the school in the company of First American Lady Jill Biden, on the sidelines of the G7 summit.
Lilibet Lili Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, named after Prince Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and his mother, Princess Diana, was born a week ago at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.
She was born almost a year and a half after Harry and Meghan announced their intention to step down from the royal duties, which caused a major crisis in the royal family.
Relations between members of the royal family further deteriorated in March when one of them, albeit unnamed, was accused of racist remarks against Prince Harry's son, little Archie.
Problems also arose after Meghan Markle admitted in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that members of the royal family completely ignored her pleas for help with suicidal thoughts, which often occurred to her during her life in the UK.
