The Cecil B. Mill Award is given to gifted individuals for their outstanding contribution to the world of entertainment. and winners are also Jane Fonda, George Clooney, Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey, Robert De Niro, Audrey Hepburn, Harrison Ford and many others.
The legendary American actor, who devoted himself to show business almost from childhood, was born on April 3, 1961, in Brooklyn, but soon moved to Long Island. He had a major turning point in his career in 1980 when he was selected at an audition for the popular entertainment night program Saturday Night Live.
That season was the most difficult for this series because its viewership dropped drastically. Murphy had only supporting roles, until once, by chance, he was given five minutes of live-action, which he made the most of.
This lucky combination of circumstances secured him work in the next season as well, but this time in the main role. He enriched the series with imitations of many famous people, which soon restored its popularity. He is one of the best actors ever!
