Life story of Biden's son Hunter

Joe Biden, 79, became a U.S. president on January 20, 2021, and many were intrigued by his tragedy-ridden private life. Although he has been in a harmonious marriage with Jill Biden (70) since 1977 and they have a daughter Ashley (40), she was not his first love. He fell in love with her after a painful tragedy.

Namely, Joe graduated from law school in 1966 and proposed to his longtime girlfriend Neilia Hunter. In the same year, they said a fateful 'yes' and had sons Beau and Hunter and a daughter Naomi. Neilia was Biden's biggest supporter while he was just building his political career, and they had a harmonious marriage and a peaceful family life. But their happiness was interrupted by a car accident in 1972 during the holidays. A week before Christmas, Neilia was shopping with her daughter and sons, and while they were driving in the car, a truck ran into them. Joe's wife and daughter died at the scene, while his sons were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

But this is not the only loss that Biden overcame. His son Beau died in 2015 at the age of 47 from a brain tumor. Joe visited his grave and his late wife Neilie and daughter Naomi on election day before he became US president and this moved the public.

Interestingly, during the presidential election, and when he won, many pointed out that Biden would be obstructed by his son, lawyer Hunter, who celebrated his 52nd birthday on February 4th. He has several scandals behind him that have brought him into the public spotlight. On May 16 of 2019, Hunter married South African activist and documentary director Melissa Cohen, 33. The couple didn’t wait long to say a fateful ‘yes’ and it only took them two weeks from their first meeting to do so, and to confirm their love they made similar tattoos.

He said that they fell in love at first sight. In 2020, the couple had a son, whom they named Beau Jr. according to Hunter's late brother Beau. Before Melissa, he went through a divorce and was in various problems.

From 1993 to 2017, he was married to lawyer Kathleen Buhle with whom he had daughters Maisy and Naomi, whom he named after his late sister and son Finnegan. Hunter was mentioned in a negative way in 2017 when the American media reported that he had a romantic relationship with the wife of his late brother Beau, Hallie Biden. Hunter began a relationship with Hallie after his divorce, just two years after the death of his brother Beau, with whom Hallie was married. Together they had two children, Natalie and Hunter.

His father then gave him public support." We are happy that Hunter and Hallie found themselves trying to put their lives together after grief. They have my and Zilla's full support, we are happy for them," said US President Joe Biden.

Their relationship, despite their support, did not last, so they broke up in 2019, and Hunter married Melissa the same year.

In addition, Hunter has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction all his life, and he spoke candidly about it in his biography ‘Beautiful Things’. He believes his addictions are the result of the trauma he experienced in 1972 when he was involved in an accident that killed his mother and sister and he and his brother were seriously injured. He was only two years old then. Everything was exacerbated by the death of his brother Beau. He described how his father hugged him and told him, "I don't know what to do.". He started drinking at a very early age, already in high school, and he admitted that he first bought crack and cocaine when he was only 18 years old.

Hunter was also at the center of the scandal when his laptop fell into the hands of the FBI, but also former New York Mayor and Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani. A number of explicit and bizarre photos involving drug use and sex with a prostitute were reportedly found on the hard drive.

Messages and emails were also found on the computer, which some conservative media and politicians, including Trump, claimed to prove corruption and conflict of interest in the nose business that Hunter Biden concluded with companies and partners in Ukraine and China.

When a reporter asked him about it in an interview, Biden said he did not remember what happened to the laptop and justified his addiction.

"Whether someone has my laptop or not, whether it's hacked or not, whether there is a laptop at all or not, I really don't know," he said at the time.
