NEW: The first trailer for the Marvel series "Echo" is out!
The first photo of the new Marvel series is in front of you! "Echo" will arrive on Disney+ and Hulu.
The Marvel machine never stops running. "Moon Knight" is over, "Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness" is currently in theaters, and "Ms. Marvel" is awaiting her debut. But, this time Marvel Studios continues to move forward.
A few months earlier was announced that the "Echo" was going into production, with a planned 2023 release on the Disney+ platform.
Now, Marvel released the first official trailer and poster for the "Echo" series, which revealed a few surprises, including that it is the first TV-MA-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Also, "Echo" will be the first Marvel series to be shown simultaneously on the Disney Plus and Hulu platforms. And we shouldn't forget to point out that all episodes of the series will be available for viewing on the same day of the premiere. That's unusual for Marvel to say the least, so hopefully that's not an alarm bell, because the trailer doesn't look bad at all.
A first look at Marvel Studios’ Echo!
"Echo" is a spin-off of the Hawkeye series, and in the focus is Maya Lopez ( Alaqua Cox ) aka Echo. As a former head of a criminal organization, she returns to her hometown in Oklahoma to 'come to terms' with her past and reconnect with her roots. According to Marvel, Maya must "reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.".
One of the directors, Sydney Freeland, announced that we can expect a dark and more realistic series in terms of violence. The other director is Catriona McKenzie (Gunaikurnai). Executive producers include Freeland, Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Richie Palmer, Jason Gavin, and Marion Dayre.
Starring alongside Cox are Vincent D'Onofrio (Hawkeye) aka Kingpin, Zahn McClarnon (Dark Winds), Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves), Tantoo Cardinal (Killers of the Flower Moon) and K. Devery Jacobs (Reservation Dogs). And in the trailer you could detect a very famous figure with a red mask. Yes, that's Daredevil played by Charlie Cox.
All five episodes of "Echo" will arrive on Disney Plus and Hulu on January 10, 2024.
