Nicholas Cannon is an American comedian, actor, rapper, and television presenter. In television, Cannon began as a teenager on All That before going on to host The Nick Cannon ShowWild 'n OutAmerica's Got TalentLip Sync Battle Shorties, and The Masked Singer.

Nick Cannon announced the death of his five-month-old son Zen and revealed that he did not want Zen to undergo chemotherapy because he did not want him to suffer.

“Since I went through chemotherapy myself, I know that pain and suffering and I didn’t want a two-month-old baby to go through it,” he said in an interview.

Cannon was diagnosed with lupus in 2012 and underwent various treatments, and he did not like the thought of his son going through it.

After discussing possible treatments with doctors, he and the boy's mother decided not to undergo the son's chemotherapy, but instead "keep him happy every day since his diagnosis".

He found that they began caring for the little one immediately after his birth in late June because his breathing patterns seemed abnormal to them. Just a few weeks later, doctors determined it was something serious.

At just two months old, Zen was diagnosed with high-grade glioma, which is a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

“We started wondering if there was a way to prevent that,” Cannon recalled. "If not, how much time do we have?" The conversations quickly turned to, 'How can we give him the best life in the time he has?' It can be weeks, it can be months, it can be years. "

The little one, unfortunately, lost the battle with the tumor earlier this month.

Cannon has been married once and has seven children with four women.

Cannon married singer-songwriter Mariah Carey on April 30, 2008, at her private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas. On April 30, 2011, Carey gave birth to twins: daughter Monroe and son Moroccan Scott. After six years of marriage, the pair separated and filed for divorce in 2014, but reunited briefly in 2015. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.

Cannon has two children with model Brittany Bell: a son, Golden, born February 2017, and a daughter, Powerful Queen, born December 2020.

In June 2021, his twin sons, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, with DJ Abby De La Rosa were born. Later that month, on June 23, his seventh child, a son, Zen, with model Alyssa Scott was born.
