Crystal Hefner, four years after Hugh Hefner’s death, decided to talk about their relationship. The Playboy bunny looked back on their love story that began in 2009
“It’s only been four years, but in a way, it looks like it’s been a lifetime,” said Playboy bunny Crystal Hefner, who married Hugh Hefner in 2012.
“So much has happened since he’s gone, so I’m just thinking about it all,” Cyrstal said, looking back at the family at the Playboy mansion Hugh kept.
"He was so humble and kind to everyone. He was so open and he just shared his life with everyone and I think it's really special," the model explained.
"Now it's hard for me to go out with others because Hugh Hefner treated me so well and he was respectful to me, incredibly kind." For him, his home was an oasis.

He was kind to everyone
"Everyone was able to come in, leave their worries at the door and just have a good time. I loved being there, it was really magical. It was something that will never happen again," she said. Although he was 60 years older than her, she canceled the wedding a few days before their first planned wedding.
“Hef always says he's an open book with illustrations, so I always try to stay pretty open and kind to everyone, like he was,” she recalled, adding that after his death in 2017, she didn’t know what to do.

“My friend suggested,‘ Let’s get out of here, let’s go on a trip, ’so we went to Africa and since then I’ve just traveled and thought about my life,” Cyrstal said.
After her “surreal” relationship with Hugh, Cyrstal found it hard to feel the same magic with her new partner.
“It’s hard for me to go out now because Hugh Hefner treated me so well and he was full of respect and kind to me,” the 35-year-old explained. “Now I’m trying to reconcile it all,” Cyrstal concluded.
