Piers Morgan angers people with comment about Naomi Osaka: "You are bothered by a successful woman"
Many are mad at Piers Morgan for making fun of Naomi Osaka's mental health.
Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka lit the Olympic flame today, and British host Piers Morgan took advantage of the situation to taunt her on his Twitter profile, which many did not like.
"I'm so glad she found strength. She's probably tired after all this posing for magazine covers," he wrote, alluding to Osaka's decision to take a break from the media.
"I hope that the world media will respect Naomi's desire for privacy and that they will not publish photos in which the Olympic flame is lit," he added.
As a reminder, due to her poor mental state, Osaka announced that she would not come to press conferences, stating that frequent questions from journalists about her game made her uncomfortable and difficult to deal with. That decision cost her a $ 15,000 fine, and Osaka withdrew from Wimbledon and Roland Garros because of it all.
Morgan has publicly called out the tennis player before and said he believes Osaka is taking advantage of the mental health problem to avoid being reported in the media.
