Michael Douglas brought his daughter to graduation, and received a harsh comment: "You must be proud of your granddaughter"
- It's a bit rude when you go out the door, and the other parents say: "Oh, congratulations, you must be very proud of your granddaughter" - the famous actor revealed
American actor Michael Douglas (76) shared the unpleasant moment he experienced during his daughter's graduation after one parent called him her grandfather.
Namely, the 76-year-old actor admitted that it was "a little rough" that they mistook him for a grandad of his 18-year-old daughter Carys, which he has with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The couple also has a 20-year-old son, Dylan. Michael has now revealed on the Kelly Clarkson Show that his daughter's graduation was a "wonderful ceremony" despite precautions against the coronavirus, adding:
"It was so wonderful, I'm so proud of her. I have to tell you, Kelly, it's a little rough when you walk out the door, and the other parents say, "Oh, congratulations, you must be very proud of your granddaughter," Michael said.
"Okay, I don't know the man. I will not take it personally, he was just trying to be nice"- Michael added.
Michael shared a photo of the family from the ceremony, under which he wrote:
"Congratulations Carys to you and the whole generation of 2021! Your mom and I are so proud of you! We love you so much and we are excited about your future because the best is yet to come! Dad" - wrote Michael in the description of the photo.
