Prince Harry is on the offensive because he fears he will be ignored like his uncle

In an interview he gave back five years ago, the 36-year-old estranged prince admitted he was worried people would become ‘bored’ as they became increasingly interested in his brother William’s children.

'Harry has always been in a hurry to leave an impact because he thinks he has a limited lifespan before the public wants to hear more from George and his siblings,' Harry's friend told the London Times .

He worries that he will turn into his uncle after that,’ said a friend referring to Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his royal duties amid a scandal over his close ties to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of Sussex hinted at his fears five years ago in an interview with the same paper, recalled Roya Nikkhah, who then interviewed him.

Harry then told her that he planned to use his privileged position for the right things until he could no longer do so until he became boring, or until Prince George became more interesting.

'There's nothing worse than going through a period of life where you make big changes and then all of a sudden ... you drop out,' said Harry, then 31, adding: 'You want to make a difference, but no one listens to you.

Insiders say his behavior has since brought his family and once-loyal aides into despair.

One former aide predicts that after the memoir Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will ‘sail into the sunset’, convinced that by telling their truth they have done the right thing.

"Now I hope everyone will shut their mouths," an anonymous former aide told the British newspaper.
