Razer's peripheral gurus have launched the Leviathan V2, a new PC soundbar. This is touted to be the first gaming soundbar to support THX Spatial Audio, as well as Razer's Chroma RGB, and so fits nicely into a gaming setup.
THX Spatial Audio should allow for more accurate localization of opponents and other noise sources, greatly improving the game experience.
The soundbar has two band drivers, two passive radiators, two tweeters, and a separate downward-facing subwoofer, so it should be able to provide clear highs and powerful bass.
Razer lists a frequency range of 45 Hz to 20 kHz as usable. Despite its compact size, Razer regards entertainment material and the clearest possible replication of content as the intended objective.
The soundbar includes 18 RGB lighting zones that can be fully customized and dynamically altered to match game lighting effects via chroma.
Bluetooth 5.2 with low-latency mode or USB is used to connect to the PC or other end devices. Because of the detachable feet, the soundbar is relatively compact and can be advantageously placed under a monitor.
To operate the soundbar, Razer provides its own Chroma RGB software, the Razer Mobile Apps, a 10-channel equalization, and Razer Synapse, providing the user complete control and flexibility. The Razer Leviathan V2 is already included in the price comparison and can be purchased for $249.99.
