GeForce NOW offers 4K on Windows and macOS

Previously, GeForce NOW RTX 3080 customers could only experience 4K resolutions while using an NVIDIA Shield device connected to a TV that supported this resolution.

However, and in conjunction with the news that the firm offers us every Thursday on its cloud gaming service, there has been an announcement this week that, without a doubt, will bring great joy to users of the RTX 3080 who primarily play on the PC.

The GeForce NOW client software (rather than the online interface) already allows top-tier users to stream in 4K resolution to get the most out of it.

Make the most of your monitor now that PC screens with this resolution are becoming more popular, and it is becoming increasingly frequent to encounter people, primarily gamers but also content creators and editors, who have taken this recent leap of faith.

GeForce NOW relies on its DLSS upscaling technology to provide 4K resolution with appropriate speed, which, as you may know, also allows Game Ready drivers to maximize the usage of PC resources to provide a big rise in video quality.

Although the advent of 4K resolution to the Windows client was unexpected, it is even more surprising that this option has already reached macOS users. It appears that this occurred about a week after NVIDIA introduced their GeForce NOW client designed exclusively for Apple devices equipped with the M1 processor.

It appears that they were waiting for that rollout to be completed before introducing this additional functionality to RTX 3080 subscribers.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Thursday without the addition of new titles that are compatible with the service. And ten more games have been added to the service's portfolio this week. Remember that GeForce NOW gives you cloud access to the games you've purchased from the major digital shops.
