She has a magical voice, 3 types of cancer and a 2% chance of surviving: "It's OK", she said and made the whole world cry!
"You can't wait for life to stop being hard to decide to be happy."
Yesterday's performance of Jane from Ohio in "America's Got Talent" will be talked about for a long time. This young girl sang under the stage name "Nightbird", and how extraordinary she was is evidenced by her direct placement in the finals of the competition, as well as the reactions of the judges and the audience around the world. Because by witnessing her peace, serenity, and energy, it is difficult to not feel anything.
The contestant of the talent show hides a difficult life story behind her smile - she is fighting three types of cancer - on the spinal cord, lungs, and liver. Despite all the problems she faces, Jane radiated optimism.
"I'll sing an original song "It's Ok". It's about the last year of my life" - said Jane, who is 30 years old.
As she stated, she came to the competition alone. When asked what she does in life, she said the following:
"I haven't worked for a few years, I'm fighting cancer. The last time I checked, I had cancer in my lungs, spinal cord, and liver" - she said, with a calm smile on her face.
"It's important for everyone to know that I'm more than the bad things that happen to me," said Jane, and then she started her impressive performance.
When she finished, the whole studio applauded her.
"It was powerful," said jury member Sofia Vergara, while Heidi Klum emphasized the beauty of her voice.
"Your voice is impressive" - said the strictest member of the judges, Simon Cowell, who was also touched by the song and the story behind it.
"You can't wait for life to stop being difficult before you decide to be happy," said Jane, and Simon became speechless and cried after this sentence.
Simon didn't want to give her a vote, but he gave her something much, much better. And that is the "golden buzzer", which means that she went directly to the finals of the competition. Then he hugged the overjoyed girl.
"I have a two percent chance of survival, but a two percent is not zero. Two percent is something, and I would like people to know how great it is"- said Jane.
After she left the stage, the judges tried to find words to describe this amazing performance.
