Kanye West is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer born in Atlanta and raised in Chicago. The rapper and fashion designer legally changed his name to Ye in October 2021 after explaining that it has religious significance to him.

It seems that after the breakup of his marriage to Kim Kardashian (41),  Kanye West  (44) turned more and more to charity work. Namely, he bought more than 4,000 toys for children in Chicago.

This year, the singer decided to spend his time before Christmas in a nice way. He gave meals to the homeless and distributed thousands of toys to orphaned children.

So he wanted to contribute to the 'Toys for Englewood' organization held at the Kennedy King School.

"I'm overjoyed that Kanye is helping us." He loves to visit his city, but this Christmas is truly a modern Santa Claus.

Coleman, one of the organizers called the singer a hero who is always ready to help citizens.

"We want to thank him because he understands that many children live here without holidays. Some are without fathers due to violence and firearms, and some because their parents are in prison. That is why we are here today, with Kanye as a blessing to those children." he added.

This, however, is not the only humanitarian work to which the singer has surrendered lately. Last month, he delivered 1,000 meals to the charity for those living in Skid Row, a place where most homeless people or drug addicts live.

"God wants to see us rise through difficult times. We all made mistakes, including me." Kanye said then.

When the COVID-19 pandemic first hit the U.S. in March of 2020, the rapper donated to the Dream Center in Los Angeles and We Women Empowered in Chicago, giving an undisclosed amount to each charity in efforts to provide meals to children, families.
