"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" is finally in production!
The film is finally in production and we expect it on December 20, 2024.
"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" is finally in production, and the first look at the new character in the film – Shadow the Hedgehog – has been released.
A teaser photo was posted on the Sonic film's official social accounts, accompanied by a simple description of "Off and Running", which also marks the start of filming. The character of Shadow was announced in "Sonic: The Hedgehog 2" when we could see that he would be the new villain in the next sequel.

The Sonic movies are based on the mega-popular Sega video game franchise. "Sonic: The Super Hedgehog" had its cinema premiere back in 2020 and very quickly became a big hit and earned more than 319 million dollars worldwide. The sequel "Sonic 2" two years later joined the cast with Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna and Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Miles Tails Prower, and the sequel was even more successful with a total of $405 million. A third film was greenlit even before the second hit theaters, and Paramount Pictures and Sega revealed they are working on a Knuckles spin-off series in which Elba will also lend his voice. We still don’t know who’s lending his voice to Sonic’s rival in the live-action series, but the movies have shot for the stars when it comes to casting.
"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" will be directed by Jeff Fowler from a script by Patrick Casey and Josh Miller. Ben Schwartz will be in the role of the main character Sonic again. He will lend his voice to him. In other, no less important roles, are James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, Neal McDonough, and Jim Carrey as the main villain Doctor Robotnik or Eggman.
The film "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" is expected to be released in theaters on December 20, 2024. We can't wait!
