The filming of the HBO series "Dune: The Sisterhood" started!
Director Johan Renck confirmed via social networks that HBO's prequel series under the working title "Dune: The Sisterhood "started shooting in Budapest.
Director Johan Renck who is known for his movies "Chernobyl", and " Breaking Bad", confirmed via social networks that HBO's prequel series under the working title "Dune: The Sisterhood" already started shooting in Budapest. The Swedish director, who also serves as an executive producer, is expected to direct the first two episodes of the long-awaited project. But we have to admit that the fact that Diane Ademu-John known as the creator of the series, but also one of the showrunners, head writer and executive producer, decided to leave her position does not inspire confidence. She will still remain in part of the project, but from now on she will primarily act as an executive producer. Now, Alison Schapker (Westworld, Altered Carbon) is the sole showrunner of the project.

Other executive producers include Denis Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts, Scott Z. Burns, Matthew King, John Cameron, Cait Collins, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert. The series is a co-production between HBO Max and Legendary Television.
The details of the upcoming series are not known yet, but we do know that it will be based on the novel Sisterhood Of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The series will be set 10,000 years before the events of Dune and will they will focus on the Harkonnen sisters as they battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and the origins of the Bene Gesserit order. It is also not known for now when we can expect the series on HBO and the HBO Max platform.
Sisterhood Of Dune is the first book in the "Great Schools of Dune trilogy", which are the continuation of the "Legends of Dune trilogy".
In these series, the main stars are Emily Watson (Chernobyl) and Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) as Valya and Tula Harkonnen, the sisters who founded the Bene Gesserit order. Along with them, we will see Indira Varma, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoilann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, Chloe Lea and Travis Fimmel in the series. It sounds great, so all we need is to wait!
