The first book of Peter V. Brett's demons is getting a TV adaptation!

Today we bring great news for fans of author Peter V. Brett and his fantasy series "The Demon Cycle". The first book of the series – The Warded Man/The Painted Man is being developed for television. The producers behind the project are Roger Birnbaum and Mark Kinsey (The Magnificent Seven, The Hustle) under the banner of their company Electromagnetic Productions (EMP).

Although the project is still in its early stages, the producers envisioned it as a franchise that would adapt all five novels of the popular series. Other producers are Spike Seldin (The A-Team) and Kearie Peak (Leverage, The Librarian series) for Remarkable Media and Simon Barry(Warrior Nun, Continuum) and Stephen Hegyes (Warrior Nun, Fifty Dead Men Walking) for Reality Distortion Field (RDF). Barry is also set to be a showrunner, while JD Zeik (Witchblade, Ronin) is in charge of the script.

The first part of the literary series was published in 2008 and is a New York Times bestseller. Since then, it has been sold in 27 countries and translated into 26 languages. You can read books and take advantage and the opportunity to discover this fantastic world. Immerse yourself in a world where the nights belong to demons.

It is interesting that this is not the first attempt of adaptation. In 2016, the New Harlem Partnership bought the rights to the first book of the series for the purpose of a film adaptation. Perhaps even more interesting is who they bought the rights from, held by none other than Paul WS Anderson (Resident Evil, Death Race).

As the project is only in a very early stage, as we have already mentioned, for now, no actor's names are attached to it, nor it is known on which network or streaming platform the series could be found. All we have to do is to wait!
