The richest of the rich! Who is on the list?

During the pandemic, these bilionares doubled their fortunes.

According to the Oxfam analysis, the world's ten wealthiest people doubled their fortune over the first two years of the coronavirus pandemic, while poverty and inequality grew. Oxfam is a confederation of charities dedicated to relieving global poverty.

At a briefing published before the virtual mini-summit of world leaders, which is being held under the authority of the World Economic Forum, accordingly, these people's wealth increased by 1.3 billion dollars per day, from 700 billion to 1,500 billion dollars.

The millionaires' wealth grew more during the pandemic than in the previous 14 years when the world economy suffered its worst recession since the 1929 Wall Street crash, Oxfam reports.

The organisation called the inequality "economic violence" and said the difference contributes to the deaths of 21,000 people every day due to a lack of access to health care, gender-based violence, hunger and climate change.

To save lives, Oxfam has called for tax reforms to fund vaccine production, health care, climate change, and the reduction of gender-based violence around the world.
