VIDEO: Movie shot with Galaxy S21 Ultra phone

Samsung has announced a partnership with renowned British director Joe Wright ("Pride & Prejudice", "Atonement", "Anna Karenina", "Darkest Hour") to shoot short films using Samsung’s flagship phones.

Their first movie shot with the Galaxy S21 Ultra is called "Princess & Peppernose". 

The film tells the story of a princess in search of love who defies conventions in order to follow her own desires. The film is a musical that uses puppetry and live choreography to tell a unique story fully captured by the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G smartphone.

“My parents ran and founded the first dedicated puppet theater in the UK, and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to get back to my roots,” Wright said. “What surprised me the most throughout this process was how quick and easy it was to get right in there and be present with the characters and the story. The camera is always ready, and all you need to do is point and shoot”, the award-winning director concluded.

Samsung does not specify the exact release date of the film but says it will come out very soon. Judging by the trailer, in the hands of a good director, the phone did the job of a film camera without any problems.
