Vikings: Valhalla - All information about the start of Season 2

Norsemen replenishment began in February 2022 in the shape of the spin-off Vikings: Valhalla for those who couldn't get enough of the Viking Age after six seasons of the original Vikings series.

The series, set around 125 years after the original, was enthusiastically appreciated by the public and managed to add new wind to the sails. After all, the show's creator, Jeb Stuart, adds, "The statistics were phenomenal and beyond my wildest dreams."

Reason enough for us to keep an eye out for fresh episodes of the show. As a result, we've compiled all of the facts about the start of the second season of Vikings: Valhalla below. We'll also show you who's returning in the new episodes, who's new, and how the spin-plot off's might progress.

The new episodes will be available on Netflix on January 12, 2023, according to the Season 2 official teaser.

Anyone attempting to predict the plot of Vikings: Valhalla by reading history texts would most likely be disappointed. Because, as in the original series, we keep running into well-known historical figures. The story arcs and a substantial portion of the characters are made up.

Season 2 will almost certainly return to the clash between Christian and pagan Danes. Freydis and her half-brother Leif will most likely be caught up in the action as well.

It is still unknown whether Harald Sigurdsson, later known as Harald Hardrada, will be crowned King of Norway in season 2. The first casting for a Byzantine general, announced by Netflix for season 2, speaks against it. Because, before becoming king of Norway, Harald was a member of the famed Varangian bodyguard of the Byzantine emperor.

Season 2 will also see Leif Eriksson build Vinland, America's first western outpost.

As of this writing, Vikings: Valhalla is scheduled for three seasons of eight episodes each.

Whether there will be additional seasons or a decision to conclude Vikings: Valhalla with 24 episodes will most likely be determined by the series' financial success for Netflix.
