What will the Moto G 5G 2022 be like?

In just over a year, Motorola's Moto G 5G has evolved into a more than impressive mid-range alternative. We can observe throughout this time that we are talking about a model that appears to have become one of the brand's axes and, as a result, we can expect recurrent renewals of it.

And we may not have to wait long because some information, as well as photographs of what could be the Moto G 5G 2022, have already emerged. This content was leaked in Prepp, bears the signature of the leaker OnLeaks, and informs us, among other things, that the code name with which Motorola refers to this prototype is Motorola Austin, a fact to consider, because the said name may later be seen in the results of some popular benchmarks, as well as in registrations with some regulators.

This would not be the first time. In reality, the Motorola Austin was initially spotted in November, showing us a smartphone with a perforated screen in the center and a triple camera system on the back presided over by a 5-megapixel sensor.

We didn't realize it at the time, but we were already dealing with the initial data from the still-unreleased Moto 5 5G 2022.

The information we now have indicates that we are talking about a smartphone with a 6.6-inch screen powered by a Snapdragon 750G SoC, an integrated one introduced about a year and a half ago and consisting of an octa-core CPU Kryo 570 (four Cortex A77 cores at 2.2 gigahertz and another four Cortex A55 cores at 1.8 gigahertz) and an Adreno 619 GPU capable of providing up to 120 hertz with And, of course, 5G connection, as the name of the smartphone suggests.

As previously indicated, this SoC would be backed by 4 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage, expandable via a 512-gigabyte memory card. This entire set would be powered by a 5,000 milliamp battery with a fast charge feature (without specifying its speed).

The Moto G 5G 2022 includes a volume rocker on the right side, as well as a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. A USB-C port is at the bottom, flanked by a speaker, a microphone, and a headphone jack.

If the November leak revealed that the main camera was made up of three parts, the main one being a 50-megapixel sensor, now we have information on the other two elements, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a macro lens. a resolution of two megapixels.

We're also told, much to the chagrin of many (including myself), that the Moto G 5G 2022 will ship with Android 11. This is one of those things that I don't completely comprehend at the entrance level, and even less so at the middle level.

It's been months since Android 12 was released, but we still find recent devices and, worse, some that haven't even arrived yet to the market, but with an older version of the operating system, rather than the current one.

The Moto G 5G is expected to hit the market in June of this year, with a price tag of roughly 275 dollars.
