WhatsApp has a new very useful feature
As they say from WhatsApp, it’s a ‘new spontaneous way to connect with family and friends’.
Group calls on WhatsApp were unavoidable during the pandemic, and now a new option is arriving right there.
After the number of participants in a group call was increased to eight, a new button has now been added to the group chat that enables participants to directly join an ongoing call.
According to WhatsApp, this is a "new spontaneous way to connect with family and friends."

WhatsApp introduced joinable group calls in July, but to see the calls in progress you had to go to the menu. With the new option, you can now simply go to a group and join the call. An ongoing call will be indicated by a small icon in the group image in the chat window.
