The video from 2007, filmed by his daughter Taylor, in which he drunkenly 'fights' with a cheeseburger that he wanted to eat, is also known. Given that the video was of a private nature, the family was shocked when it leaked to the public.
'Unfortunately, we still don't know which person released the video. It was a private video. Someone must have stolen it from my sister's mobile phone and unfortunately posted it,' Hayley said years later. It was this video that David called his wake-up call. However, a few years later, it was Hayley who became the center of a scandal after she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. In 2017, concerned citizens called the police because of a stopped, burning vehicle in the middle of the road. Hayley was sitting in it, unconscious, leaning on the steering wheel, the door was locked and her foot was on the brake. When she got out of the vehicle, the officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol. Ultimately, she received three years of probation, a $390 fine and a 90-day rehabilitation program.
