Who is in the running for the role of Amy Winehouse
The film will be called "Back To Black", as one of the most famous songs of the tragically deceased singer reads
As Variety recently reported, the film about Amy Winehouse, which received the support of her father Mitch, will be directed by the director of the film "50 Shades of Grey", Sam Taylor-Johnson, who was a close friend of the tragically deceased singer.
“What we want is for someone to portray Amy the way she really was. Funny, brilliant, charming, and terrible as she could be at times. It doesn't make sense for me to make a movie about her because I'm her father. But to get the right people to do it, that's important and we're going to do it now” - said Mitch Winehouse.
The film will be called "Back To Black", as one of Amy's most famous songs. According to Cosmopolitan Italia, although in the past Mitch Winehouse and his much-discussed agent wanted the singer to be played by a young actress who is just starting her career but can pull off such a demanding role, in the last few weeks the story has changed course.
Namely, several very famous names were considered for the role. One of them is Lady Gaga, who, judging by what she has achieved so far in her musical and acting career, could certainly play this role in the right way. On the other hand, Camila Cabello, Alexa Demie from the series "Euphoria", as well as the former member of "Fifth Harmony" Lauren Jauregui are also in the game.
