Why should you visit magical Cusco
According to the usual life of its inhabitants, Cusco is a city where traces of the people who created it still live.
Have you ever met a culture so different, in a country so distant and foreign, and yet you are secretly accompanied by the feeling as if you somehow know everything about it. It is difficult to explain this impression when you are in the city of Cusco.
The capital of the Inca Empire is at the very top of the list of the most visited destinations in Peru, and with good reason. Cusco is a city where mysticism and attractions, the simplicity of everyday life, and the spirit of civilization, whose heritage conquers the ravages of time, meet and breathe synchronously. But the credit for this does not belong only to the Incas. Apart from a close encounter with this distant and unfathomable culture, you will be completely captivated by the unreal charm of the tame South American town.

After getting used to the atmospheric differences, the true awakening of the senses follows as soon as you step through the streets of Cusco: sounds, colors, and smells, casualness on the faces of passers-by, and streets that captivate with abundance and modesty at the same time. A walk through the narrow streets gives the impression that everything around you is somehow small and cramped, and yet boundless and wide. The slight contrast between what you see and experience gives this town a special charm.
Exuding an individuality that makes it impossible not to feel admiration, on the streets of Cusco, simplicity meets vividness: from the facades of multi-storey buildings closely dotted together, to the everyday city rhythm painted with a typical Latin American temperament.
According to the usual life of its inhabitants, Cusco is a city where traces of the people who created it still live. The walls of stone blocks, which have been stacked with incredible precision so that they have survived without a shred of plaster for 8 centuries, silently testify to that. Yet the secrets of the magnificent Inca architecture have never been fully revealed, nor have the techniques by which they fit the stones perfectly in construction. In contrast, the architecture of the Spanish builders is somewhat more recent, and this unusual symbiosis is responsible for the archaicness with which Cusco conquers at first sight.

At the same time, some of the most famous Inca heritage are located only a few tens of kilometers from Cusco. Without exaggeration, the Lost City of Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley - or Urubamba, as it is also called - are places that give the impression that you have fallen into the frame of a science fiction movie. More precisely, in science fiction with elements of westerns, because there are still many native villages in the Sacred Valley. The natives continue to maintain the way of life of their ancestors, which is certainly due to the specific climate that perfectly suits agricultural crops. Some of them, such as the Peruvian poppy, have even conquered the rest of the world at the speed of light in recent years, not only because of their exotic origins but also because of their proven beneficial effects on health.
