YOUTUBE WILL MARK THE MOST INTERESTING PARTS OF VIDEOS: More new features coming
One of the platforms that often introduces new features in order to keep up with the competition is definitely YouTube. A lot of things are cooking, and here's what's coming soon.
The way YouTube implements new features starts with testing them on a small number of users, to gather feedback from the audience on whether they like the new options, how they function, and whether something needs to change. According to the latest announcement, a small number of users will have the opportunity to try two innovations.
Already seen on adult sites
The first is special tags above the video progress line, according to which you will be able to see the parts of the video where the largest number of users lingered, and skip the annoying ones. This is something that sites that display adult content have been using for years, and someone from YouTube came to an idea that this option could be useful for the most popular video platform in the world.
The experimental data appeared on the YouTube support page, where it is emphasized that in addition to the graph that will show the most interesting parts of the videos, users will also have special tags that will further help them find the most interesting parts of the videos.
For now, this feature is limited to a small number of users on mobile and desktop devices, so if you get this option, know that you have fallen into a small test group of users who are among the first to try out the new features.
Keep watching videos on your computer
In addition to the chart with the most viewed parts of the footage, YouTube has stated that it will introduce an option that allows users to continue watching the paused video from a mobile phone, on their computer. Simply put, when you watch a video on your mobile phone and stop for some reason, you can continue watching it on your computer, from where you left off.
According to the data available, this feature works when you watch YouTube in the mobile version of the YouTube app on Android and iOS devices. When you pause a video on your phone and turn on YouTube on your computer, a video player will appear in the lower-left corner of the screen with the video you watched asking if you want to continue watching the video. If you click the play button, the video will start in a compact window, but you can expand it to full screen if you want.
