"Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies" arrived on Disney plus platform!
The first season of the series premiered in September 2021, and the second season is expected in the spring of 2023.
After a couple of weeks and days of speculation about the mysterious project between the legendary Studio Ghibli and Lucasfilm, a few days ago it was finally revealed what exactly it was about. It was confirmed that it is indeed a short film whose focus is on the small, adored Grogu, known to most as Baby Yoda. We think that every person loves Baby Yoda and his charming look.
The title of the short animated film is "Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies" and what's even more interesting is that you can watch it today, exclusively on the Disney plus platform. The short film was launched to mark the third anniversary of "The Mandalorian", and it was intended as a surprise for fans. The project unites the legendary Japanese animation studio with Lucasfilm for the first time. This cooperation guarantees success!

But this is not the first time that Lucasfilm has teamed up with an anime studio. In 2020, Lucasfilm hired animation studios in Japan to create nine short films for their "Star Wars: Visions" anthology series, also for the Disney plus platform. This allowed each studio to create any narrative within the Star Wars universe. The first season of the series premiered in September 2021, and the second season — which expands beyond Japan to studios in Africa, Europe and India — is expected in the spring of 2023.
The hand-drawn animated short film "Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies" was directed by Katsuya Kondo. He is known as a character designer for the films "Kiki's Delivery Service", "Ponyo", and "Earwig and the Witch". The music for this movie was written by Ludwig Göransson, composer of "The Mandalorian series" and "Black Panther" films. Even though the film is very short and without dialogue, it is a very nice production. Watch and you will not regret it!
