15 fun things you can do with kids on a rainy day

It's raining outside and you can't go out of the house, but the kids are home and bored? We believe this is a familiar scenario to many parents. The option of cell phones and tablets in your hands is not a choice, but we understand that sometimes you have no inspiration. 

We decided to help you and find 15 interesting things you can do with kids on a rainy day. Their hands and heads will be busy and at the end of the day, they will fall asleep without any trouble.

1) Make a camp indoors

Set up a tent or make your own from blankets, sheets, and pillows. Add pillows to the floor, a lamp and read interesting stories or look for items to survive in the ‘wilderness'.

2) Organize a tournament in solving obstacles

Here are some ideas to start with: Sneak under the dining room table, jump from pillow to pillow, hit a laundry basket with 10 socks from a distance, and then walk through the entire apartment with a book on your head. 

3) Play chef and bake your favorite cake or cookies. 

Divide the roles, and for each dish, someone else can be the chef, for example, mom for the main course, dad for soup, children for dessert…

4) Make your own fidget spinner

Skip the store-bought version and create a unique spinner instead (one for kids and one for you).

5) Go to a museum or gallery

Spend the day acquiring new knowledge and experiences.

6) Organize a treasure hunt indoors

This will require a bit of planning, but after you write down the clues, hide them around the house and choose a reward.

7) Teach children to play cards or chess

So they will develop their brain twists and all the concentration will be on that.

8) Organize a dance party

Turn up your favorite music and show off your dance moves. You can also try some courses on YouTube.

9) Make jewelry or artwork from items you have at home

It can be a pasta chain or a wool flower. It is up to you to let your imagination run wild.

10) Film marathon 

We know you wanted to separate the kid from the screen, but a movie marathon is always fun.
You need popcorn, blankets, and cuddles. 

11) Fashion show

Take everything out of the closet and walk around your home like it’s a catwalk. Along the way, separate what you will no longer wear.

12) Make airplanes out of paper

And then throw them all over the apartment and compete whose flight is the longest. 

13) Play hide and seek, but no cheating

While it may not be big, an apartment or house can be a great place to play a good old hide-and-seek game…

14) Make your own table tennis

Make paper balls and cardboard rackets, and turn the kitchen table into a tennis table.  

15) Organize a show

Each member of the household must design a play lasting two minutes and can use whatever they want. You will surely laugh.
