Woody Harrelson beat up a drunk man, and the police had to intervene because of the whole case
The actor was at a bar with his daughter when a drunk, unknown man tried to film them
Hollywood star Woody Harrelson slammed a drunk man who was trying to film the actor and his daughter while they were on a night out. The incident happened on Wednesday night in Washington at a rooftop bar that has now become very popular in this era of pandemic. According to world tabloids, including The Sun, the police were called around 11 p.m.
The brawl began when the 60-year-old actor got upset, claiming an unknown man wanted to photograph them. When police arrived at the scene, they found a lot of people at the bar, including Harrelson himself, and one of his three daughters. The police stated that the mentioned man, who looked drunk, was also there and that he really took pictures of the actor and his daughter. Harrelson reportedly approached the person first and told him to stop taking photos of them and asked him to delete the photos already taken.
According to a police report owned by The Sun, the actor said he started a verbal altercation with a drunk man but that he headed towards him trying to grab him by the neck.
Because of this, Harrelson hit him in the neck area, trying to defend himself. His version of the story was confirmed by witnesses present there. Police also questioned the drunk man and after they complete the investigation and if charges are filed, they will reveal his name. It is not known with which daughter Harrelson was out, 28-year-old Danny, 25-year-old Zoe, or 15-year-old Makani Harrelson.
But this isn’t the actor’s first incident of the kind, he just doesn’t like to be photographed. Admittedly, there used to be professional photographers with whom he came into conflict. So back in 1995, he got into a fight with two photographers claiming they were following his family on a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Harrelson had to pay compensation to the two for everything, so one received 4,800 US dollars, but the other for some reason only two dollars.
Then in 2006, he allegedly attacked the photographer and broke his video camera, but what really happened is not available to the public, because, after a long trial, a settlement was reached. Another photographer claimed that Harrelson attacked and damaged the camera in 2009 at LaGuardia Airport in New York, but despite these allegations, the lawsuit was not filed.
