Angelina and The Weeknd had dinner together, the media raving: 'Is this the new star couple?'
The Sun speculates how the Hollywood diva and musician could have connected through their shared love for Ethiopia.
Angelina Jolie (46) and singer The Weeknd (31) had dinner together at an exclusive Italian restaurant in Santa Monica, and then, after a few hours of pleasant conversation, each went their separate ways.
That was enough to start speculations about a completely unexpected "new couple on the stage". The American and British media are now trying to explain where this strange combination came from.
So, The Sun speculates how the Hollywood diva and musician were able to connect through their shared love for Ethiopia. The Weeknd or Abel Makkonen Tesfaye was born in Canada, but his parents are from Ethiopia, and from there Angelina adopted her 16-year-old daughter Zahara Marley.
The award-winning musician recently announced he would donate $ 1 million to charity for the United Nations Food Program, which helps children in war-torn Tigray areas, and Jolie has been heavily engaged as a UN High Commissioner for Refugees for years. Dinner, then, could have been a business or friendly meeting, not a sign of any romance.
In addition, Jolie, who by no means gives up on trying to deprive Brad Pitt of all parental rights, has been hanging out more and more lately with her ex, first, husband Johnny Lee Miller, a much more likely candidate for a relationship.
The Weeknd, who was in a relationship with model Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez, is also single.
