Actress Allison Mack, 38, was arrested in 2018 on suspicion of being an assistant to the leader of the ‘NXIVM’ sex cult, Keith Raniere, 58. Allison was expected to be sentenced to 15 years and sentenced to three years for aiding the prosecution. Mack is among six people charged with sex trafficking, forced labor, racketeering, web fraud for his role in the cult of ‘NXIVM’, which operated in New York State until 2018.
The prosecution allegedly requested a reduced sentence for cooperating in the investigation against the other co-defendants.
Mack pleaded guilty to involvement in a sex cult, and in a recent statement addressed to the victims, she regrets her role and the injuries she inflicted on them.
"Now I need to say, I am sorry from the bottom of my heart. I threw myself into Keith Raniere’s mentorship with everything I had. I believed, with all my heart, that his mentorship was leading me to a better, more enlightened version of myself. I dedicated my devotion, my resources, and, ultimately, my life to him. That was my biggest mistake and the biggest regret in my life - Allison wrote.
- I'm sorry I brought you to 'NXIVM'. I am sorry that I have ever exposed you to the vile and emotionally violent schemes of a twisted man. I am sorry to have encouraged you to use your resources to participate in something ultimately so ugly. I do not take lightly the responsibility I have in the lives of those I love and I feel the great weight of guilt for the abuse of your trust, negatively leading you" - Allison wrote.
