Kourtney's boyfriend had PTSD due to a plane crash, but is now flying again
A few weeks ago, he traveled with Kourtney, her mom Kris Jenner and Kris’s boyfriend on a trip to Mexico. He recently went on the second trip by plane, where he and Kourtney went to Italy.
More than 13 years have passed since the fatal plane crash in which drummer Travis Barker (45) barely survived, while four of the six passengers were killed. He then vowed never to fly a plane again.
Ever since he started a relationship with Kourtney Kardashian, 42, Travis has been determined to overcome the trauma.
A few weeks ago, he traveled with Kourtney, her mom Kris Jenner, 65, and Kris's boyfriend Corey Gamble, 40, on a trip to Mexico. He recently went on the second flight, where he and his girlfriend traveled on vacation to Italy, reports Page Six.
Earlier this year, Barker said he had problems with PTSD and trauma after surviving a plane crash that caused him to undergo therapy.
"I was in the dark, I couldn't walk down the street. I kept seeing planes in the sky. I was convinced that they would collapse, and I didn't want to watch that scene" he told Men's Health.
Travis had previously opened up about how the crash and the consequent trauma were a form of rehab from drug use.
“People are always like, ‘Did you go to rehab?’” Barker told Men’s Health earlier this year. “And I [say], ‘No, I was in a plane crash.’ That was my rehab. Lose three of your friends and almost die? That was my wake-up call. If I wasn’t in a crash, I would have probably never quit.” said Barker.
