Cameron’s father, Michael Douglas, has been considered one of Hollywood's most beloved actors for decades. His life was also full of turbulent situations, both in the family and in the health field. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010.
Fighting the disease helped him, he said, to save his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones. As he explained, poor health forced him to reconsider his life and understand which things are most important to him, and those are his wife and children Cameron, Dylan, and Carys.
“The cancer was in the fourth stage. Healing gave me a new opportunity to appreciate life. When you enter the seventies, everything changes, you realize that the end is near, and my family gives me strength in all that” - said Douglas.
